*IMPORTANT! Dance shoe sizing does not match street sizing - nor necessarily other brands or styles. You must consult the following sizing guidelines (which are specific to this style and model of shoe) to help you choose your correct size.

The SHOWSTOPPER® "Ascent" is an exceptional quality lace-up - a premium product priced less than other brands' "economy" shoes. "Ascent" is beautifully styled and superbly manufactured - and made from premium-grade custom leathers. This shoe fits fabulously and adds a wonderful line to the foot.

• Please Note: Sizes L4 and above additional charges $3 apply (your price will adjust upon size selection);
• SIZING: Girls' 11 to Ladies' 9.5 (US). This style is medium width girls'/ ladies' sizing. It does not suit boys/ men or anyone with a non-standard foot width.

Sizing Guidelines SHOWSTOPPER® "Ascent"
Remember, our shoe sizing will most likely NOT match your street shoe sizes or your size in other brands or styles - and, with very few exceptions, all shoes that we sell are sized differently.

Please follow these instructions carefully to help you choose the correct size.

! Step 1: Measure your foot length...

• Please measure from the very back of the heel to tip of the longest (not necessarily the big) toe.
• This is best done while standing on a tape or ruler with your heel against a wall or door. Be sure to align the zero point of your tape correctly.
• Please measure both feet and use the larger of the 2 measurements (however, if there is a large difference between the feet some averaging may be required).
• Please measure later in the day as foot size tends to increase throughout the day
• Please measure to the nearest millimetre and do not round your measurement - measure carefully using the exact technique described - a few mm may make a difference!

! Step 2: Please select the appropriate shoe length from the table below, according to the following recommendations (note that you are looking for a shoe which is BIGGER than the foot by the following margins)...

• YOUNGER DANCERS should generally select a shoe which is 10-15mm longer than your foot;
• SENIOR/ ADULT DANCERS (particularly more experienced dancers) may prefer a snugger fitting shoe (generally in the order of app 5-10mm longer than your foot). Please check your measurements very carefully, as there is very little room for error when fitting a snugger shoe.
• INTERMEDIATE DANCERS fall somewhere in the middle, and should typically select shoes 9-13mm longer than the foot.
  
  Please note that the above margins do not equate to "growing room". Dance shoes are generally designed to be worn quite snug, and sizing charts obviously can't accommodate "growing room", which is very subjective. It is very difficult in a dance shoe to achieve both a satisfactory immediate fit and significant growing room - so it's usually best to aim for a good fit now and accept that your shoes will possibly need replacing more often than you'd like - it's good to know that these shoes are such great value!

We have found that sizing problems generally result from user error, so please take the time to review our guidelines carefully and take care to measure as accurately as possible.

There is, of course, always some risk of sizing errors when buying shoes or apparel online. We are happy to refund or exchange (subject to our returns policy) if you do have problems, but please note that you will be responsible for all associated postage costs. Our pricing is such, however, that, even in this event, you will, in most cases, still save over retail store pricing.
